Clock Tower Lit Up

On the first night of Hospitality Days 2024, our Clock Tower was lit up for the first time in many years.
After a gap of many years, the Clock Tower on the Old Bathurst Post Office was re-lit as part of the 2024 Hospitality Days festival. At precisely 10:00 pm on July 12th 2024, with an enthusiastic crowd shouting a countdown, the lights to this beautiful old landmark shone brightly once again to a tumultuous cheer from the assembled party-goers. There were many emotional scenes, with tears and cheers, this old buildiing is held in high regard and much affection by the folks from Bathurst and the surrounding areas.
Next step - get the clock working. New computer parts are on order from as far afield as the USA and Europe, and a local engineering company is making some mechanical pieces to get the old clock mechanism ready to work again.
